While
using TP-Link router user can face some small problems like sometimes their
router is not able to get the WAN parameters from the modem. This problem
generally arises due to the absence of proper internet access to the system
after the complete installation of the TP-Link router and when there is no WAN
IP Address appeared on the router’s status page.
If a message in red color appeared that WAN port is unplugged on
status page of the router then you
should check your connection between the modem and the router because it means
that modem is not plugged into the WAN port of router then you have to plug it
properly and check that the red message will disappear or not.
But generally when we access the internet for
the 1st time via the cable modem some ISP will automatically register in the
MAC address of our computer and if in our network we add router to share our
internet connection the ISP will not accept it because the MAC address is
changed in such cases we need to clone our computer’s MAC address to the router
as troubleshoot or solution of this problem.
Sometimes
the LAN IP address may get conflicted with the IP range of the existent
ADSL router and then the router is not
able to communicate in that case we can change the LAN IP address of router for
more details you can check tp-link website net-tplink-modem.net or simply go to tplink modem quick setup. A power cycle should also be performed to
re-established the connections as a troubleshoot.
